Over the past decade, Dr. Sajan has been conducting his own clinical research as part of that advancement mission.

Dr. Sajan and a group of select physicians were awarded the prestigious CORE Grant in 2011. Funding from this grant has been used to create a model that plastic and reconstructive surgeons use to learn surgery. Dr. Sajan's work on research and development projects is ongoing. In 2012, he created the Advanced Facial Simulator model which is the only validated facial simulator in the world. Surgeons throughout the world are using this simulator to teach and practice cosmetic and reconstructive surgery.

Scientific and research-related publications also invite Dr. Sajan to contribute to their peer-reviewed journals. Such recognized publications as The Journal of Surgical Research, JAMA Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery, Archives of Otolaryngology, and JAMA Facial Plastic Surgery have all published research by Dr. Sajan. And more recently, Dr. Sajan was selected as editor of the textbook, Aesthetic Laser Therapy: Principles, Medical Applications, and Long-Term Effectiveness. This book is currently in publication by NOVA Science Publishers.
