FTM Top Surgery Revision Before & After
There is not one surgical technique that Dr. Sajan uses for a top surgery revision. It is largely dependent on the patient’s anatomy, previous surgery, and goals for the revision. Dr. Sajan could reperform the entire surgery using a different technique, such as using the double incision method when a keyhole top surgery was originally performed.
Other FTM top surgery revisions may be smaller. For example, Dr. Sajan may use liposuction to smooth out lumps or small irregularities. He may also transfer fat to the chest or only address a thick scar. In cases where the revision is not major, patients may not even need to undergo another full surgery.
At a consultation appointment, Dr. Sajan will ask the patient about their previous top surgery experience, what they hope to achieve with revision, and review their medical history. He will then perform a brief physical examination. With this full evaluation, Dr. Sajan can determine the right options for the patient’s revision top surgery. Working with the patient, Dr. Sajan will create a customized surgical plan.
