Dr. Sajan and his team understand that it's not always easy visit our office for an in-person consultation. That's why we offer our patients several plastic surgery virtual consultation options. Many of our domestic and international patients have taken advantage of this service.
Virtual consultation is time saving and cost effective whether you are out of state (Washington) or out of the country. For your convenience, Dr. Sajan uses the most familiar and popular internet communication applications when doing a virtual consultation. A virtual consultation allows us to meet with patients anywhere in the world, in the convenience and privacy of their home or other preferred location. Each of these virtual options is compatible with the most commonly used operating systems like Windows, Mac, and Linux, as well as most devices including PC, notepad, Android and iPhone.
Getting Started with Your Virtual Consultation
The first step is to contact our office by phone. Let us know of your interest in booking a virtual consultation with Dr. Sajan.
When you book a virtual consultation appointment with Dr. Sajan, our patient care specialist will forward some preliminary paperwork to you via fax, e-mail or by mail. The forms are used to provide Dr. Sajan with new patient information and other pertinent data. You may return the forms by fax, e-mail, or mail. Please be sure to send us accurate contact information including your current phone number(s). Also, the best times to reach you to schedule your virtual consultations.
If you're able to, include a do-it-yourself (DIY) pre-operative photograph(s) that clearly show the area of your body for which you are seeking plastic surgery.
All medical information and pictures that you provide are treated with respect and confidentiality. Everyone on our team undergoes periodic training so that we understand and are compliant with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). This includes all related government rules and regulations, especially those regarding the "Privacy Rules."
Scheduling Your Plastic Surgery
Dr. Sajan will use your patient information, images, and observations he makes during your in-person or virtual consultation to determine if you are a good candidate for the procedure you are requesting.
Once a surgical plan has been developed, our patient care specialist will contact you to discuss:
- Potential surgery dates
- Pre-operative care
- Recovery
- Follow-up appointments
- Cost
- Local accommodations (if needed)
- Answer any questions you may have about your procedure
Schedule Your Procedure
We require $1,000 at the time you schedule your surgery to reserve your surgery date. The balance will be due three weeks prior to your surgery date.
You will receive a packet of information and procedure consent forms in the mail prior to your surgery date. It is important that you carefully read, sign, and initial all forms.
It also will be very important that you follow all pre-op instructions that Dr. Sajan has outlined specifically for your surgery. These may include limiting or discontinuing certain medications (like OTC pain killers) for a period of time. As well as, bringing certain types of clothing for easier dressing, comfort, and support following surgery.
Flying In for your Surgery?
All out-of-area patients are required to arrive at least one to two days prior to their surgery date. You will be meeting with Dr. Sajan for an in-depth consultation regarding everything related to your procedure(s). At this meeting, you will also sign your surgery consent form, witnessed by our patient care specialist.
After surgery, most patients must remain in the Seattle-Tacoma area from 3-5 days for follow-up appointments and to ensure that recovery is going as planned.
Our staff is available to help you with travel plans, lodging recommendations, and even some sightseeing opportunities. Should you need medical attention after you have returned home, we will refer you to a local physician.
