Laser Hair Removal Aftercare
Laser hair removal is a non-invasive procedure that comes with little risk. However, to obtain the best results from your Seattle laser hair removal, you should follow the aftercare instructions that your master esthetician gives you.
The most important part of caring for your skin after laser hair removal is protecting it from the sun. This usually means avoiding sun exposure and keeping the treated areas covered. For some treatment areas, this may not be possible, such as on the face or chin. In these cases, you should wear a strong SPF and stay out of the sun whenever possible.
You should continue limiting sun exposure as part of your laser hair removal aftercare for up to two to three weeks following each session. To aid this, you may choose to undergo laser hair removal in the fall or winter, when there is less natural sun exposure.
Otherwise, you can return to all your normal activities and routines. Most facial cleansers, skin products, and makeups are safe to use following the procedure. If you have concerns about a specific product, your master esthetician can answer these during a consultation at Allure Esthetic.
