Your VASER Hi-Def Surgery

Your VASER Hi-Def surgery is a minimally invasive procedure that will be done in our state-licensed surgery center on an outpatient basis. An anesthesiologist will administer a combination intravenous anesthesia and sedation. You will be carefully monitored throughout the surgery and recovery periods for your safety and comfort.

Dr. Sajan will make a small incision (about one quarter of one inch) at the treatment point and inserts an infusion catheter through the incision. A tumescent solution (a combination pain medication and vasoconstrictor) is infused through the catheter to prepare the tissue for the VASER procedure. VASER technology is based on a state-of-the-art ultrasound process. Dr. Sajan uses ultrasound to emulsify the fat, and a small cannula (tiny tube) and pump system to suction the liquefied fat out through the incision into a sterile collection system. This process will be repeated until all target areas have been treated.

When finished, Dr. Sajan will close the incision points with sutures and bandage the wounds. You may be asked to wear a compression garment for a period of time following surgery to facilitate the healing process.
